DRIVERS UNDER THE AGE OF 21: The consequences for paying a traffic ticket vary based on a driver’s age. You should contact the Department of Driver’s Services to ask about the consequences of paying your traffic ticket BEFORE any payment is submitted to the Court. Paying a ticket before the listed court date is treated as an admission of guilt to the charged offense and will result in a conviction.

You may appear on the court date listed on your traffic ticket to speak with a prosecutor about additional options for resolving your case, or to schedule a trial to dispute the charge(s). Questions can also be sent to solicitor-general@maconbibb.us.
Not all traffic offenses can be paid in lieu of a court appearance. Some cases require a court appearance. Examples of common charges that cannot be paid online are DUI, Driving While License Suspended, and Operating a Vehicle Without Insurance. Payments submitted for an offense that is not eligible for out-of-court payment will be rejected by the Clerk’s Office. You will be notified if your payment is rejected. Partial payments of traffic citations are not permitted and will be rejected.
